Privacy Policy — Meds & Pill Reminder Pro

Effective date: 4 November 2026  ·  Last updated: 4 November 2026

The short version

  • Your medication data stays on your device. We never receive it.
  • There is no account, no sign-up and no cloud sync.
  • The app has no analytics and no tracking SDKs.
  • Ads are served by Google AdMob, which uses device identifiers to do so.
  • You can delete everything at any time by clearing the app’s data or uninstalling it.
Not a medical device. Meds & Pill Reminder Pro is a reminder and record-keeping tool. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it is not a substitute for professional medical judgement. Always follow the instructions of your doctor or pharmacist.

1. Who we are

This policy describes how PrismVertex (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles information in connection with the Android application Meds & Pill Reminder Pro (the “App”).

PrismVertex is the data controller for the limited processing described here. You can reach us at [email protected] or through prismvertex.com.

2. Information you enter into the App

The App stores the information you choose to enter so that it can remind you about your medication. This includes:

  • Medication names, strengths, forms and optional notes
  • Dose schedules, times, recurrence rules and grace periods
  • Dose records — taken, skipped, snoozed or missed
  • Stock and inventory counts, and refill thresholds
  • App preferences, such as theme, notification and lock settings

This information is stored only in the App’s private storage on your device, in a local database that other apps cannot read. It is never uploaded to PrismVertex, and we have no way to access it.

We do not ask for, and the App does not collect, your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, postal address, contacts, photos, precise location or any government identifier.

3. Information we do not collect

To be explicit, PrismVertex does not collect or receive:

  • Your medication list, schedules, dose history or stock levels
  • Any account, profile or contact details
  • Crash reports, diagnostics or usage analytics
  • Your location
  • Your advertising identifier, except as described in section 5

The App contains no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting SDK and no attribution SDK. Apart from the advertising SDK described below, the App makes no network requests of its own.

4. Device permissions and why they are needed

The App requests only the permissions required for its core function. Each one is used strictly on your device.

Permission Why the App needs it
Notifications To show dose reminders and low-stock alerts.
Exact alarms To fire a reminder at the precise time you scheduled it, rather than within a loose window.
Run after device restart To restore your pending reminders after the phone reboots, so a restart cannot silently cancel a dose.
Biometric / device credential Only if you switch on the optional app lock. Your fingerprint or face data is verified by the operating system and never reaches the App.
Files and storage Only when you explicitly export a backup or a CSV file, and only to the location you pick.
Internet Used solely to load advertisements. The App’s own features work fully offline.

You can revoke any of these permissions in Android Settings. Revoking a permission disables the related feature; it does not delete data you have already entered.

5. Advertising

The App is free to use and is supported by advertising delivered through Google AdMob, a service provided by Google LLC.

To serve and measure ads, Google and its partners may collect and process information such as your device’s advertising identifier, IP address, device type and model, operating system version, general (coarse) location derived from IP address, and interactions with ads. This processing is carried out by Google as an independent controller under its own policies, not by PrismVertex.

We do not receive your medication data, and we do not combine advertising information with anything you enter into the App.

For details, see:

Your choices about advertising

  • Reset or delete your advertising ID. On Android, open Settings → Google → Ads to reset your advertising ID or delete it entirely.
  • Opt out of personalised ads. The same screen lets you turn off ad personalisation, in which case you may still see non-personalised ads.
  • Consent where required. Where the law requires it, the App presents a consent prompt before personalised advertising is used, and you may change your choice at any time from that prompt.

6. Backups and exports

The App can write a backup file or a CSV export of your dose history. These files are created only when you ask for them, and they are written to the location you choose — for example a folder on your device or a cloud storage provider you have installed.

Once a file leaves the App, it is governed by wherever you saved it. If you send a backup to a cloud drive or email it to yourself, that provider’s privacy policy applies. PrismVertex never receives a copy.

Backup files contain your medication and dose data in readable form. Treat them as sensitive and store them somewhere you trust.

7. Data sharing and disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share the data you enter into the App with anyone, because we never receive it.

The only third-party processing connected to the App is:

  • Google AdMob — advertising delivery and measurement, as described in section 5.
  • Google Play — app distribution, which is governed by Google’s own privacy policy.

We may disclose information if we are legally required to do so, for example in response to a valid court order. Because we hold no user data, such a request could not produce your medication records.

8. Data retention and deletion

Your data remains on your device for as long as the App is installed, or until you delete it. You are in full control:

  • Delete individual records from within the App — for example, remove a medication or clear its dose history.
  • Clear all app data via Android Settings → Apps → Meds & Pill Reminder Pro → Storage → Clear data.
  • Uninstall the App, which removes its private storage along with it.

Because we never receive your data, there is nothing for us to delete on our side, and no deletion request is needed.

Any backup or CSV file you exported earlier is outside the App’s control. Delete those files yourself from wherever you saved them.

9. Security

Your data is protected by the Android application sandbox, which prevents other apps from reading the App’s private storage. If your device is encrypted, the App’s data is covered by that encryption at rest.

You can add a further layer of protection by enabling the optional biometric app lock in Settings.

No system is perfectly secure. The strongest protection available to you is a device lock screen and keeping your operating system up to date.

10. Children’s privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the App requires no account and transmits no user data to us, we hold no information about any user, including children.

If a child uses the App on your device, their medication data stays on that device under your control, exactly like any other user’s.

11. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA/CPRA — including rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to object to certain processing.

In practice, these rights are already satisfied by design: the data lives on your device, you can view and edit it in the App, and you can delete it at any time. We hold no personal data about you to disclose or erase.

For advertising-related data held by Google, use the controls in Settings → Google → Ads, or contact Google directly. You may also contact us at [email protected] and we will help where we can.

12. International transfers

PrismVertex does not transfer your data internationally, because we do not receive it. Advertising data processed by Google may be transferred to and processed in countries other than yours, under the safeguards described in Google’s privacy policy.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if the App’s features change — for example, if a future version adds cloud sync. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you in the App or in the Play Store release notes.

Continuing to use the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
